The Team

The people behind
the practice.

Independently and women-owned. 35+ combined years of veterinary medicine and operations, built into a hospital for the people and pets of the Gunnison Valley.

Co-Founders

Built by two.

Cement Creek Vet is the work of business partners and besties - a doctor and an operator - who spent decades taking notes on what works, what doesn't, and what a really good practice could feel like.

After earning my BS in Molecular Biology from the University of Washington, I knew medicine was in my future – I just hadn't figured out which kind yet. A front desk job at a veterinary hospital answered that question pretty quickly. I went on to complete veterinary school at Washington State University and have spent the past 15 years practicing in both Bend, Oregon and the Gunnison Valley. CB South is now very much home.

I take a practical, honest, and collaborative approach to medicine and patient care. I'm especially passionate about preventative care, internal medicine, dental health, and client education. I think pet owners always deserve the full picture, because veterinary medicine means very little if the people on the other end of the leash don't understand what's happening and why.

I've always had a soft spot for bully breeds and Frenchies – oversized personalities packed into compact, endlessly lovable bodies.

When I'm not in the clinic, you'll find me on the trails, spending time with friends, or keeping up with my six-year-old son, who has yet to slow down.

If you were a dog breed, what would you be and why?

Great Pyrenees. Calm, steady, protective, and usually keeping an eye on everyone in the background. Patient by nature, but fully prepared to step in when it matters.

I grew up on a farm in Iowa, where cattle castrations, barn cats, and helping weigh baby pigs were just a normal Tuesday. I started working at a veterinary clinic in high school and never really looked back. After earning my BS in Animal Science from Kansas State University, I spent the next 20 years in veterinary medicine and animal health, working across practice management and industry strategy before taking the leap to build something of our own here in CB South.

At CCVH, I oversee the business, operations, and culture side of the hospital so our medical team can focus on what they do best. Building a clinic that feels thoughtful, trustworthy, and genuinely supportive – for both clients and staff – has been fun and incredibly rewarding. I have an overwhelming love for animals and deep respect for the human-animal bond. Always have, always will.

Cement Creek is my happy place, so when I'm not working, I'm usually hiking with my dogs, mountain biking with my husband, cooking, or turning my flower gardens into a seasonal obsession.

If you were a dog breed, what would you be and why?

Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Loyal, expressive, strong-willed, resilient, and basically living my life at full volume.
